Maturation: Malolactic fermentation occurred while maturing in 1/3 new French Oak followed by a maturation in barrel for 20 months.
Nose & Palate: Lifted aromas of dark cherry, blackberry and savoury spice with underlying notes of cedary oak. Vibrant flavours of black cherry and blood plums with hints of black pepper and underlying savoury spice are all supported over cedary oak and fine chocolaty tannins which lead to a long supple finish.

The cool climate and gravelly soils of the Frankland River Region in the south of Western Australia are well suited to the production of intense and elegantly structured wines.
The aim, since the first Jarrah Shiraz was made in 1995, has been to craft a wine that truly displayed the best that Shiraz can give when grown in Frankland River with the recognition that this can only be achieved in the great vintage years.
