Val de Flores (Malbec) 2005
Deep ruby with a fuchsia hue. underbrush, leather, mushroom, with notes of toasted oak after aeration. eshy with hints of vanilla and oak. The nish is balanced between tobacco and raisins, with an overall classical elegance and good taste. A genuine and harmonious wine.
The 2005 Malbec is more evolved and broader on the palate than its younger sibling as well as smoother inå texture. However, it does not have as much aging potential although it is a powerful effortå by any measure. Itå should be at its best from 2012 to 2023. These top-notch offerings from Val de Flores are known as -The Rolland Collection- after the peripateticå vigneron Michel Rolland who made them. The two Malbecs areå first-class.
