Golden yellow with supporting hints of amber. Aromas of precious wood float above floral undertones, followed by gourmet creamy notes. Mineral and yet dense, it softens into hints of dark chocolate, raisins and candied orange.

Description

Predictions for a quality crop held true after the October 1969 harvest, and the fruity Colombard and Ugni Blanc wines offering good pH balance contributed greatly to the exceptional qualities of this CAMUS Rarissimes 1969 Petite Champagne Cognac. The catalytic role played by the copper of the small stills during the distillation process resulted in a highly supple and smooth distillate for this 1969 Petite Champagne. The precious oak notes of this venerable Cognac highlight the mysterious art of an ageing process which has successfully preserved the mineral purity of a manual harvest and the intrinsic qualities of an eau-de-vie. This Cognac was aged in new oak barrels almost half a century ago along the Charente river, in a cellar which has today become the Museum of Cognac.
